My English name is Dina Lu, and my Chinese name is 陆笛 (pronounced lu di), hence the name of this website.
I started blogging when I was 11 years old, on Windows Lives Spaces—a very old blogging platform that is nonexistent now. Now I’m 23 years old. Throughout these years, I’ve created eight blogs.
I started this blog in 2014 on WordPress to recount my travels on exchange, but it has turned into something a lot more important for me. In 2016, I decided to make this blog oh-so-official and transfer everything to this self-hosted website—so exciting!
This blog isn’t just about traveling anymore. It’s a place where I can share thoughts and insights about life, health and career.
In short, I was born in Beijing, China, and grew up in Vancouver, Canada. I graduated from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business in May 2017 and now I’m tackling the real world.
A few interesting things about me
I’m left-handed, but always trying to reconcile my left-handedness with a healthy right mind—get it?
I’m an ESFJ.
I love traveling and living abroad (see my Kenya blog too!).
My favourite food is Japanese cuisine.
I speak English, French and Mandarin.
Thanks for joining me on the journey!
